Citizen Engagement and Entrepreneurship: Implications for Sustainable Tourism Development

Research has not investigated the use of competitions-hackathons as a citizen engagement tool to motivate and activate citizen's engagement in entrepreneurship driving sustainable tourism development. This paper fills in this gap by using the SHARE Challenge as a case study. SHARE is a competition-based crowdsourcing project launched by the Government of South Australia aiming to engage citizens in sharing economy entrepreneurial ventures. Heteroforiju izmaiņas pēc ilgstošas disociācijas un prizmu adaptācijs testa

Maģistra darbs ir uzrakstīts angļu valodā uz 46 lapām. Tas satur 14 attēlus, 8 tabulas un 80 atsauces uz literatūras avotiem. Mērķis bija izvērtēt verģences adaptācijas ietekmi uz heteroforiju novērtējumu un prizmu adaptācijas testa pielietojumu klīniskajā praksē. Pirmajā daļā 40 dalībniekiem tika novērtētas heteroforija izmaiņas 2 minūšu laikā pēc disociācijas. Otrajā daļā tika novērtēta verģences adaptācija, izmantojot prizmu adaptācijas testu. Rezultāti parādīja, ka heteroforijas lielumu būtiski ietekmē disociācijas ilgums. Dalībniekiem ar diagnosticētu verģences anomāliju novēroja samazinātu verģences adaptāciju. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir izanalizēt ASV vēstures reprezentāciju Čanga-reja Lī vēsturiskajā romānā Nodotie no transnacionālā viedokļa. Pētījuma mērķa sasniegšanai, tiek izmantotas tādas metodes kā žanra un teksta analīze, akcentējot uzmanību uz romāna tēmām un varoņiem, kā arī izmantojot transnacionālo pieeju konteksta interpretācijai. Empīriskajā daļā tiek apspriests kāpēc Nodotie pieder pie vēsturiskā romāna žanra. Turklāt, galveno varoņu traumatisko pieredžu un likteņu krustošanās nozīme romānā. Analizējot tiek noskaidrota romāna pozīcija Āzijas amerikāņu literatūrā, kā arī kādā veidā tā veicina ASV vēstures pārskatīšanu.

Abstract Composite indicators are useful tools to synthesize and monitor multidimensional phenomena. The aim of this paper is twofold: to offer the methodological foundations to build composite indicators in tourism and to evaluate a set of currently available composite indicators. An X-ray characterization of the central region of the supernova remnant G332.5-5.6

Aims. We present an X-ray analysis of the central region of supernova remnant (SNR) G332.5-5.6 through an exhaustive analysis of XMM-Netwon observations with complementary infrared observations. We characterize and discuss the origin of the observed X-ray morphology, which presents a peculiar plane edge over the west side of the central region. Methods. The morphology and spectral properties of the X-ray SNR were studied using a single full frame XMM-Netwon observation in the 0.3 to 10.0 keV energy band. Effect of Mg2+ ions on competitive metal ions adsorption/desorption on magnesium ferrite : mechanism, reusability and stability studies

The adsorption behavior of magnesium ferrite in single- and multicomponent metal ions solutions in the presence of Mg2+ ions were studied. A dramatic decrease in the adsorption capacity of magnesium ferrite towards Mn2+, Co2+, and Ni2+ ions for comparison study of single- and multicomponent solutions was established. The affinity of the sorbent in accordance with the maximum sorption capacities increases in the following order Cu2+ > Co2+ > Ni2+ > Mn2+. High efficiency of magnesium ferrite regeneration (~100%) with aqueous solutions of magnesium chloride in the concentration range of 0.001-0.1 M was shown. The beneficial effects of probiotics on immune-based pathologies such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) have been well reported. However, their exact mechanisms have not been fully elucidated. Few studies have focused on the impact of probiotics on the composition of the colonic microbiota.
